Aegis Advisor Eduard Leytman Faces Customer Complaint Related to ETF Losses

eduard-leytman-customer-complaint-etf-lossesEduard Leytman (CRD# 3250307) is a previously registered broker. From 2010 to 2018, Mr. Leytman was registered with Aegis Capital Corp. based in New York, New York.

In February, a customer filed a dispute against Mr. Leytman claiming misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and fraud between March 2010 to December 2018 regarding leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

A FINRA investigation is currently pending. Because FINRA Rules require member firms to supervise their registered brokers, Aegis Capital may be liable for damages if FINRA finds that Mr. Leytman engaged in the alleged conduct.

The complaint, which requested $250,000 in damages, is the second customer dispute filed against Mr. Leytman. The first claimed Mr. Leytman had made misrepresentations resulting in damages, although it was denied in 2008.
