In April, he was terminated by the brokerage firm following allegations that he engaged in improper selling away.

Barred Broker: Former UBS Financial Services Representative Nicolas Barrios

In addition to being barred from the securities industry, Nicolas Barrios is also facing at least one investor complaint related to allegations that he sold away from his member firm. A customer of UBS Financial Services filed a claim alleging that Mr. Barrios:

● Put her money into risky stocks that were simply not suitable for her given her age and investment objectives;

● Traded her funds outside of the oversight of UBS without her knowledge or permission; and

● Made unauthorized stock trades and transactions.

This investor is seeking an undisclosed amount of financial compensation. As of June of 2019, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) lists this complaint as ‘pending’.
