Jimmy Yang Driggers, Formerly of Morgan Stanley, Named in Pending Customer Dispute Seeking $4M in Damages

INVESTORS: Former Morgan Stanley broker Jimmy Yang Driggers was named in a customer dispute seeking $4M in damages.

Jimmy Yang Driggers (CRD: 1359593) was registered as a broker with Morgan Stanley from 2009 until 2021.  Driggers was previously registered as a broker with UBS Financial from 1996 until 2008.

Driggers has four disclosures on his BrokerCheck report. One customer dispute filed against Driggers was denied.

April 2022 Customer Dispute

Status: Pending

Allegations: Claimants, who are grantors and beneficiaries of trust, alleged, inter alia, that FA, in concert with the Trustee, used funds from Liquidity Asset Lines set up without their knowledge to invest in an outside real estate investment owned by FA and his family- April 2008 to April 2022.

Damage Amount Requested: $4,000,000.00


August 2020 Customer Dispute

Status: Pending

Allegations: Claimant alleges, inter alia, unsuitability with respect to alternate investments – Aug 2016 – Jul 2020

Damage Amount Requested: $200,000.00


September 2010 Customer Dispute

Status: Settled

Allegations: January 28, 2008 – September 14, 2009. Claimant alleges that his financial advisors assured him that his investment in Lehman Brothers structured notes would be safe and secure, and further alleges that the Lehman Brothers structured notes he purchased were misrepresented and unsuitable, and that the risk of loss of principal was not properly disclosed to him.

Damage Amount Requested: $399,633.40

Settlement Amount: $207,700.00

Broker Comment: Registered representative asserts the following: Broker denies any and all allegaitons of misconduct. Broker was not primary contact for client. Prior to investment at issue, client discussed investment with his broker and was provided written disclosure about the product and its risks.
