Ashley Woodard, Formerly of Voya Financial Advisors, Named in Multiple Customer Complaints Regarding Illiquid Securities

Woodard is currently registered with NYLife, and has been since 2017. Previously, she was registered with IFS Securities for a brief period in 2017. Prior to that, she was registered with Voya Financial Advisors from 2013 to 2017. 

Woodard has been named in six customer disputes in 2019. They are listed as follows.

October 2019– “Allegations include that various alternative, illiquid and unsuitable securities were recommended by representative(s).” The customer is seeking $100,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. 

May 2019–“Claimants allege misrepresentation and suitability related to recommended alternative/illiquid securities.” The customer is seeking $1 million in damages and the case is currently pending. 

May 2019–“Claimant alleges that she was misled regarding the nature and risks of multiple illiquid private placement investments which were inappropriate for her financial needs. Dates: 2011 to Present.” The customer is seeking $1 million in damages and the case is currently pending.

May 2019–“Claimant alleges that unsuitable and illiquid securities were recommended.” The customer is seeking $1 million in damages and the case is currently pending. 

May 2019– “Statement of Claim notes various alternative, illiquid and unsuitable securities were recommended by a representative.” The customer is seeking $1 million in damages and the case is currently pending. 

March 2019– “Claimant alleges that in or about January 2016 and February 2017, she was advised to liquidate her entire portfolio and invest in unsuitable, high risk, high fee, and illiquid investments.” The case is currently pending.
